Qin Kun, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, Wuhan University, adjunct professor of the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing, Wuhan University, principal of Geographic Information System Basic MOOC course, and the principal of Spatial Data Analysis MOOC course. He is a member of the Chinese GIS Theory and Methods Professional Committee, the member of Geographic Model and Geographic Information Analysis Professional Committee of the Chinese Geographical Society, and the member of Surveying and Mapping Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Mapping and Geographic Information. His research interests include spatial-temporal big data analysis and mining, intelligent processing of remote sensing images, and spatial humanities and social geographic computing. He has presided over 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has presided over or participated in many longitudinal and horizontal research projects. He has published 3 textbooks and more than 100 scientific research and teaching papers, including more than 20 SCI/SSCI papers.
