Expert Introduction:
Dr. Neil Pederson, Senior Ecologist and Research Fellow at Harvard Forest, Harvard University, USA, is a leading researcher in tree growth and forest dynamics in response to climate and its mechanisms. In addition, he has been involved in the study of temperate broad-leaved mixed forest disturbance, which has been widely influenced by his unique insights. In addition, important advances have been made in the climatology of temperate tree wheels, particularly in the study of past climate change patterns in Mongolia and their impact on forest communities. He has also made significant contributions to the study of natural history, giant flora, ancient forests and tree characteristics. He has published more than 120 papers in international journals such as PNAS, Global Change Biology, Ecological Monographs, Journal of Climate, Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, and has been cited more than 2,600 times.
