Lecturer profile:

Zhan Wenfeng, Professor, Assistant Director of the International Institute for Earth System Science, Nanjing University, Associate Editor of IEEE GRSL. He mainly engaged in satellite thermal infrared remote sensing and urban environmental remote sensing research, presided over more than 10 sub-projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Key R&D projects. He published more than 80 papers in SCI journals, including more than 20 remote sensing authoritative journals, such as Remote Sensing of Environment. He won the Li Xiaowen Remote Sensing Science Award, the first prize of the Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Special Prize of National University GIS Teaching Achievement Award, etc. He supervised 2 master's students to get the Outstanding Master of Jiangsu Province. He was selected into the first batch of remote sensing young talents funding program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Province Outstanding Youth, the Central Organization Department’s Ten Thousand Talents Program for Young Top-notch Talents, and the top ten innovative figures of GIS in colleges and universities.

Lecture Introduction:

The topic of "Satellite Thermal Infrared Remote Sensing Land Surface Temperature Product Optimization" will introduce the new progress of thermal infrared remote sensing land surface temperature multi-time scale models, the comparison and optimization of thermal infrared remote sensing land surface temperature statistical downscaling algorithms, and urban thermal radiation directional hot spots— Sun position angle offset characteristics and their influencing factors.
