Expert Profile:

Geng Haopeng, associate professor, master's supervisor, and vice president of research. He is mainly engaged in the simulation and quantitative theoretical research on the geomorphological evolution of active orogenic belts in Northwest China. The specific directions include slope weathering and erosion processes, numerical simulation of geomorphological evolution, and tectonic-climate interaction. He has published more than 20 articles, presided over 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in a number of key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the "973" project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the second research topic of the comprehensive scientific investigation of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In 2018, he was awarded the technical pacesetter of Gansu Province, and successively won the excellent instructor of the "Lanzhou University Geography Exhibition Competition", the excellent instructor of the "National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program", the excellent graduation thesis instructor of Lanzhou University and the construction of morality and style of Lanzhou University. "Advanced Individual" and many other awards.

Li Zhuolun, professor, and Ph.D. supervisor is mainly engaged in the research of desert climate change and environmental evolution, and arid zone surface processes. Up to now, he has published more than 40 papers, including more than 20 SCI papers with first or corresponding authorship, and has presided over many natural science foundation projects. He has been awarded the honor of Lanzhou University Longji Teaching New Talent and Gansu Province Technical Pioneer, etc. He has served as a member of Nature Communications, Global and Planetary Change, Catena, International Journal of Climatology, Aeolian Research, The Holocene, Palaeo-3, Theoretical and Applied Climatology, Quaternary International, Journal of Paleolimnology, Lake Science, Journal of Sedimentology, Glacial Permafrost, Chinese Desert, and other journals. He is also a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Dissertation Correspondence Reviewer of the Ministry of Education.
